Earlier this year I had the opportunity to take a course called "Flying Lessons" given by a very talented artist - Kelly Rae Roberts. It was an excellent course that covered such topics as letting go of yours fears, going after your true passion, and many other things. One of the best things about the course was, I got meet and learn about a lot of talented artists, all on different paths, but all working towards making their dreams come true and learning to take flight. Flygirl Fridays is all about these wonderfully talented people and a little bit about them, so you can get to know them as well!

What is something that you really love, and why?
My husband is definitely at the top of my love list! He makes me feel cherished and wrapped in love; he is truly my happily ever after! I also adore words and making connections with people. We all just want to be heard, loved and validated. Life does not come with instructions and, I for one, make a lot of it up. This can be scary and leave room for doubt and I find it helps me to connect - with words and actions - treating others with kindness and integrity, being a soft place for them to land.

What would your dream project be?
I am open to opportunities but I keep coming back to a few truths: I would love to lead retreats and fashion e-courses......and to write a book.........*sigh* I puffy heart books!

What’s the best piece of advice that you’ve ever received?
I am trying to be true to myself and where I am in my journey and this really resonated with me when a wise soul shared it with me: You can't measure your beginning by someone else's middle, your middle by their end.

Where does your inspiration come from?
Everywhere! I am aware of the endless possibilities in just our everyday lives and seeing others live the lives they envision and making a difference inspires me to no end!

What do you think is the biggest thing holding you back?
ME.....I thought it was fear but I now realize that I just have to get out of my way and go for it. If I shoot for the moon I will at least land among the stars.

What change do you think would most help your business grow?
Being gentle with myself and allowing the process. I sometimes get so overwhelmed and bogged down with details and aspects of perfection that I am not sure where to start and get discouraged. I have to just breathe.believe.begin.

I was looking for many things when I decided to take the course but I am most grateful that I found a tribe of creative, super-talented, supportive souls that make my heart smile and help me really believe that I can make my dreams take flight.
